Air India Employees Welfare Association (A I E W A) has taken the initiative to develop a residential layout near BIAL for the convenience and benefit of its employees and industry colleagues. A I E W A is a registered society (BG-S0.86/2007-8) whose office bearers are all serving employees of Air India Bangalore and its members are mainly from the aviation industry.
Global Aakash is right on the Airport Link Road opposite the proposed 800 acres Hardware & Aerospace Park acquired & developed by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB). The site which is currently 16 KMs from BIAL becomes much closer when the Airport Link Road (being widened to 120 feet) and the 60 feet IRR is fully aligned to connect BIAL at the Trumpet as well as the Cargo Road.
